SIP Trunks

SIP Trunks provide the means for 3CX and other phone systems to send and receive calls via the Internet.

Trunks are available as Inbound or Outbound and each can carry multiple calls at the same time.

Inbound SIP Trunk

Inbound SIP Trunks can be configured with your existing land line numbers (subject to transfer) or new geographic (e.g 0131), or non geographic (e.g. 0845) numbers.  A range of DDI numbers can also be allocated to a trunk to allow calls to be directed via your 3CX phone system to a users phone, call group or digital receptionist.  Generally, after the initial setup charge there is no charge for receiving calls on an inbound SIP trunk.

Outbound SIP Trunk

Outbound SIP trunks allow the 3CX phone system to connect external calls to your customers and suppliers without using your local telephone company exchange/wiring.  As a result, SIP calls are generally much cheaper than the equivalent fixed line calls.  Outbound trunks can be assigned a caller ID and can even be used for emergency service calls.

Call Packages

A number of providers including our own partners can provide call plans that allow for almost unlimited calls to geographic UK numbers for a fixed fee each month.  Calls to mobiles and other numbers are still charged but at the usual very low rate.
